This is quite a good story, not really long but more to the point. The storyline was good and mostly the characters as well. What troubled me at one point is that the leading male character is at one point said to be into BDSM and M/S but then there is hardly anything mentioned about either one again later. There are also quite many typos and other errors that I just cannot overlook and am thus giving this otherwise good story three stars. And then I would recommend one more proofreading...I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Emily and Marvin who have a hot chemistry and sizzling passion but also have obstacles to get through. The author does a great job bringing the story to life with all the drama,steam and laugh out loud moments. It's a fun and entertaining story,moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Emily and Marvin have known each other all her life,he was her dad's best friend. How can she come to terms that she needs his help for her business.Emily is a strong willed woman who doesn't want to have to ask for help, but has found herself in a corner.Marvin has offered to help her with the condition that she spends a weekend in Vegas with him.I loved that the characters didn't know what to expect when everything first began and then things got serious fairly quickly. They had to overcome a road block before it could work out.Excellent read with a happy ending.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Marvin watched Emily grow up and how that she’s all grown up wants her. She has her own company and it’s failing but he wants to help but can’t just ask. But Emily realizes that she needs help even though she wanted to do it alone and goes to Marvin for help. He’s thrilled that she came and says that he’ll help if she agrees to a weekend in Vegas together. She’s shocked but agrees as she needs the money for her company. As they are in Vegas she realizes that she’s attracted to him and they get together. Emily has always had a crush on Marvin, her Dad's best friend. They have known each other all their lives. When Marvin saw Emily at her graduation, he no longer thought of her as a little girl. She is a woman and he is very interested in her. So much so, that he is willing to make her an offer, an offer that she can't refuse. This is a really steamy story that is off the charts hot and introduces Emily to a new lifestyle. Will it work though? Will she be able to do what Marvin wants. Enjoyed the book though the story was a bit rushed.I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Ugh! Nothing is more annoying than trying to read a book that is full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors! I couldn’t get past the fifth chapter because of the problems, which is unfortunate. I am a fan of older man/younger woman and BDSM stories, but I had to reread too many sentences because of the mistakes. I just can’t understand why people gave such high reviews for this book.
I enjoyed this book but it’s not one of my favorites by Brenda Ford. The chemistry between the characters is great and there is definately steam. My problem was that several times I felt like the story needed to be finished or explained better. Starting with the deal that was offered (what exactly was it, when was it offered and how etc), the reaction of Emily’s father to the relationship. I just felt like I came into the middle of a story. I also don’t think the title fits the story. I received this as an arc and this is my honest, voluntary review.
