What a super fun book written by a super awesome planet. (It’s written in the first person from Earth’s perspective.)This is a great non-fiction PB. It’s full of interesting facts and ones that kids will think are cool! Plus, it’s funny! My kids (4 and 8) enjoyed it as did I. It's the perfect read aloud for preschoolers and would work well in elementary classes too.Read to the end for the most fun author’s note I’ve ever read. Plus, some additional facts about our fantastic planet and our universe.
Wonderful! This book is informational and funny at the same time. Great fun non-fiction. Illustrations are amazing. The color palette and style make this very appealing.
My kids and I love this book. It's full of facts while being tons of fun. It makes you want to know Earth even better!
My 5 year old and I have great discussion when reading this book. It presents Earth science in a charming way. It brings awareness to how amazing our planet is and some of the ways that human actions can hurt it too. Overall it is positive, educational and beautifully illustrated. I highly recommend we teach our kids to learn about our planet and love it as well.
This book is FANTASTIC! The voice of Earth, telling your little one about its history and family....hooks you on the spot. (For kids AND adults!) It's personable and fun, but informative and thought provoking. The illustrations are charming. My son can't get enough of this book. He loves to read it again and again, asking questions and marveling at the art. Don't forget to take the dust cover off to see what's underneath. Simply a must for your library. And your child's! :)
Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years is the perfect book to celebrate Earth Day and learn about our world. Stacy takes you through a history of how the Earth came to be. My space loving 4 year old son is obsessed with this book and keeps reminding me of all the fun facts we read about on a daily basis! The story starts with baby Earth, walks the reader through her childhood and ends with how she is today. Between the humorous text and the hilarious pictures you won’t mind when your child/students ask you to read this one again and again!
Yay! Just got my copy of Earth, and we love it. A cute personification of our planet that is educational in a very fun way. Illustrations are great.
Wonderful #classroombookaday from Earth’s point-of-view. The kids and I LOVED that her perspective coupled with the wonderfully adorable illustrations created empathy in us for Earth, and made us want to do our part to help save her.
