I found this book because I spent days searching the web to find a place that compared every film roll and this was the most comprehensive resource I found. I ordered the Kindle version of this book because the hard copy was out of stock. The Kindle version rendered some of the text very strange. I am not sure if that is the fault of the book or the Kindle app, but it is annoying nonetheless. I will probably also order the hard copy version when it comes back in stock though because it would also make a very unique coffee table book.For a beginner in film photography, it was excellent to be able to see differences in color. For each roll, the book shows an overexposure, underexposure, correct exposure, and a color corrected version of a portrait. It also shows a small image of a color swatch. While having correct colored skin in portraiture is tricky, I shoot mainly landscapes and cityscapes, I would have much preferred a supplemental landscape shot. Perhaps an idea for version 2?Overall though great book and I would recommend! Quite a great resource for film photographers.
As a handy reference for analog enthusiasts, this book is excellent. Gives a good overview and impression of films on the market (and some discontinued). Inspiring and well executed. Highly recommended!
