There are so many technical books on the market about how to work this and that along with practice drills but I have only found two books worth while to read in regards to coaching philosophy - 1-Pitch Warrior and Practice Perfect. I highly recommend this book, if not just for the first chapter...I want a team of players that are all in this as a team process, not having superstars. I team will win and loss games, a superstar makes highlight reels not championships.
Clear and rational "team" approach to the game of baseball. Provides a way to fairly evaluate players, a motivational system to encourage improvement and achievement. Stresses all the right concepts. Engages the whole team in its application and is easily applied.
I’ve read it several times and always looking back and reviewing things in it. Great book for High School Coaches.

I have coached over 200 games at the college level and over 300 at the high school level and the words of wisdom and insight provided here are of great benefit.
